Our Puppy Adoption Process
Step 1 - Join The Email List
We hope our information here answers your questions! Please join our email list! Once you join, I will only send emails about upcoming litters, birth announcements, and information on applications. I will not clutter your email box with anything else. Once a female is confirmed pregnant, I will send an email making the announcement.
Step 2 - Application
Fill out our Puppy Application! Once your puppy application has been received either through email or mail, you will be contacted via telephone by New York Parti Poodles within 72 hours to go over your application. In going over your application together, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and together we will determine if we are a good fit for each other.
Step 3 - Deposit
If you decide to move forward and would like to be on our waitlist, you will need to make a deposit of $500 via Venmo or Zelle. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable. You will not be placed on a list until your deposit is received. If you will be needing Puppy Nanny services, we will need to get this process started.
***We don’t take deposits before we receive your application and speak you directly.
Step 4 - Stay in Touch Through Social Media
Wait for the announcement of the due date for your chosen litter! We notify our New York Parti Poodle Families via announcements through our Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as through communication via a telephone call or email.
Step 5 - Selection Day
Wait for Selection Day! We will post weekly photos and some videos as your litter grows! We begin selection at week 5.
We will reach out to you through phone call/text and email! You can also keep up to date through Facebook or Instagram. So stay tuned!
**Throughout the waiting process after a litter is born, we will set up FaceTime so you can see your puppy grow and develop. This will help you feel more confident in choosing your puppy.
Once you have selected your puppy, we will provide a list of items that you will need to purchase to get ready for puppy to come home in just 3 more weeks! This will help you be more prepared for when your puppy is finally going to start their new adventure with your family!
During this phone call, we will also to talk about your plans to pick up your puppy at 8 weeks old, on Gotcha Day! This will include picking a date that works for both of us to pick up your puppy.
**If you will need your puppy to fly to you, we will go over what is involved with your puppy’s transportation. If you will be needing Puppy Nanny services, plans if your puppy needs to fly to meet you. Call Adrienne at (631) 406-3139 to get this set up.
Step 6 - Gotcha Day!
Yay, it’s Gotcha Day!! This happens when your puppy is eight weeks old. This is the day when you finally get to take home your new bundle of joy!
**If you are flying into NY, we will drive your puppy to either Laguardia, JFK or ISP (Long Island/Islip MacArthur) airport where you will pick up your puppy.
Step 7 - Last Step
The final step! Enjoy every moment of having your puppy home with you! Share pictures and updates with us through social media, Facebook or Instagram.
