How We Raise Our Puppies

At New York Parti Poodles, our journey begins with healthy parents that come from cleared genetic dams and sires. This means that our lines are clear from genetic diseases. All of our parent dogs are extremely well mannered, have great temperaments and come from clean genetic lines and are physically healthy parents. It is important that our parent dogs are the best examples of what a Moyen Parti Poodle should be in order to breed the best puppies.

At New York Parti Poodles, our Moms are given the best care throughout their lives. From puppy to two years of age, our Moms are raised in our home as part of the family. They grow up with our family and receive the best veterinarian care to ensure their health. From planning a litter, pregnancy and after whelping, our Moms’ health is always a priority. From vet visits, extra TLC, top quality researched nutrition, veterinarian services, and more, our Moms are well prepared to bring their puppies into the world. Once their due date approaches, Moms are integrated into their whelping area in our home. During whelping, our moms receive delivery assistance as needed in the place they are most comfortable in, home.

At New York Parti Poodles, we follow the Puppy Culture Program. Once puppies are born, we begin ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) at 3 days old. This is performed on days 3-16 which includes gentle handling and daily weights. ENS is known to help pups have improved cardiovascular performance, stronger heartbeats, stronger adrenal glands, improved stress tolerance and greater resistance to disease. This will provide a healthier, emotionally confident puppy that will be ready to successfully take on their new life in your home as well as confidently growing up in the world.

Puppies are born with so many amazing innate qualities that are fostered to further develop at New York Parti Poodles. At three weeks old, puppies will increasingly be handled getting them used to being touched and held to help them develop the familiarity and comfortability with people of all different ages. This includes eyes, nose, inside mouth, around collar, tummy, down back, pull tail, tug on ears, and tapping nails.

At 3 weeks we also begin socializing our puppies to different sounds, sights, textures, things to move through, climb on and other challenging environments for a puppy. This is done to help puppies conquer physical and mental challenges every day. By doing this we build our puppies strength and confidence while desensitizing their nervous systems. At New York Parti Poodles, we set puppies up to conquer physical and mental challenges every day. Our goal is to provide our puppies with a stable and enriching environment for the first 8 weeks of their lives.

By the end of our work with raising your puppy, you will have enough information on your pups personality, temperament and readiness to come home to begin their new chapter in life with you. With ongoing updates on your pups progress and health checks, we at New York Parti Poodles are confident that our pups are physically, emotionally and developmentally ready to enter their new home.
